{"id":11746,"date":"2018-04-09T09:20:58","date_gmt":"2018-04-09T15:20:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/klohecat.com\/wvanart\/susana-ortiz-maillo-the-hidden-language-of-threads\/"},"modified":"2018-04-09T09:20:58","modified_gmt":"2018-04-09T15:20:58","slug":"susana-ortiz-maillo-the-hidden-language-of-threads","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/klohecat.com\/wvanart\/susana-ortiz-maillo-the-hidden-language-of-threads\/","title":{"rendered":"Susana Ortiz Maillo: The hidden language of threads"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Susana Ortiz Maillo was born in Madrid, where she grew up and studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University from 1996-1999.<\/p>\n<p>In 1999 Susana received an Erasmus scholarship for a year at the St\u00e4delschule art school in Frankfurt, Germany, becoming a regular student there for the following four years and finally graduating as master student with Christa N\u00e4her.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Ortiz Maillo works in Offenbach and Frankfurt and lives between Spain and Germany and lets this show through in the way symbols and visual styles overcome all boundaries to share the same space in her works.<\/p>\n<p>One can find a certain dialogue between cultures in her body of work but not in the way one might expect.
